Access to Red Path RIverside Walk from the Spring Grove Estate
Corbally Baths, Red Path and Mill Race Access from the Sping Grove Estate
Installation of Access Control
Limerick City Council's Parks Department wishes to advise the public that the pedestrian gate leading from the Spring Grove Estate, Mill Road, Corbally into the riverside walk (including the Corbally Baths, Red Path and Mill Race) will be controlled remotely with effect from Tuesday evening, 19th January, 2010.
This gate is now programmed to close and lock at dusk and to release again at dawn. The timings will correlate closely with adjacent street lighting operating phases.
Signs as shown below, have been erected on either approach to the gateway.
Persons entering through the gateway are reminded in particular that it will not be possible to return after dusk or if lighting levels deteriorate, for example, during poor weather.
The exits at the riverside parking area at Mill Road and the 'thirty-nine steps' at Corbally Road, will however, remain open at all times.
