Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne: Public Art Commission
 

The Board of Management, Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne, An Daingean, Co. Chiarrai is offering a commission under the % for art scheme in respect of the schools new premises in An Daingean, Co. Chiarra. The commission is being managed by arts consultant Maurice Galway on behalf of the Board of Management.  Budget is €40,000 (forty thousand euro). This includes artists’ fees, design, material and fabrication costs, delivery, installation costs and all other associated costs, including VAT.

Reminder: Dlr Per Cent For Art Programme

Place and Identity 2008-2010. €500 000 Opportunities for Artists and Arts Practitioners. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council invites applications from artists and arts practitioners across all art forms for its programme of public art commissions, entitled DLR Place and Identity. In pooling funding under the Per Cent for Art scheme, the Council has in excess of €500 000 available for the public art programme.  The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 7th December 2007.  The brief for DLR Place and Identity is available to download on www.dlrcoco.ie/arts

Focusing on themes of place and identity, DLR’s public art programme encompasses two distinct strands: six artists’ residencies and two once-off projects between May 2008 and January 2010. 

Individual artists, arts companies and groups across all art forms - Architecture, Circus, Dance, Film, Literature, Multidisciplinary Arts, Music, Theatre, Traditional Arts, Visual Arts, and Collaborative Arts  - are invited to apply.

Artists and arts practitioners are asked to engage with and seek inspiration from the County - its people, place and identity - in ways that are meaningful to the artists and the citizens of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown.

Patrick Street Gallery: Call For Submission

Cork based company, Patrick St. Gallery are proud to offer our city centre exhibition space at this time. The gallery features an intimate but spacious exhibition area (Apx 25ft X 15ft) with a separate area, (Apx 8ft X 5ft), suitable for installation work and/or digital media such as film or sound pieces. The space can also accommodate small-scale performance art. Past events include; painting, sculpture, print, and textile exhibitions along with performance pieces, poetry readings, and book launches.
