Bus Routes 302 (303, 306 and 343 within ten minutes walk)
Shelbourne Park is located in the north western suburbs, on Shelbourne Road between Hassett's Cross (Cratloe Road Junction) and Union Cross (Ennis Road Junction).
Following a major redevelopment project (works pictured below) including:
The relevelling, reseeding and drainage of the two playing pitches,
The construction of a 20-bay car park
The construction of a Children's Playground, and
The realignment of paths in the park.
the park was re-opened on 18th March, 2009.
The trees in the park include Ash, Beech, Birch, Lime, Maple, Mountain Ash, Oak, Whitebeam and Willow.
The park's opening hours are, generally speaking from 08.00 to 'lighting-up time' or 21.00, whichever is the sooner (i.e. the park closes at 21.00 between May and August).
There is a 710 metre looped walking / cycling path around the park. A lateral path between the two soccer pitches is 80 metres long. Please respect the markings segregating walkers (inner) from cyclists (outer) when using this facility.
