Water Safety

Function of Limerick City Council

Limerick City Council is responsible for the promotion of water safety and the prevention of the loss of life by drowning within the City Boundary.  This service is managed by Valerie Stundon, Water Safety Development Officer.  The City Council works closely with Irish Water Safety, Limerick City Water Safety Area Committee, Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service and Limerick Marine Search and Rescue in relation to water safety. 

 

 

Lifebuoys

Information regarding missing, damaged or defective lifebuoys, can be reported to the Water Safety Development Officer at the contact details listed below.  .  Each lifebuoy box has an "L" reference followed by a number.  If you see that a box is missing a lifebuoy, please make a note of the "L" reference and the number and report it to your local water safety officer or alternatively please log on to www.ringbuoys.ie

There are some very limited places remaining for children & adults swim lessons, for august. To book please contact reception on 061213555

If you are on a waiting list please note: the September-October swim lessons are booked out for children. Children in Sept-Oct will get first preference for new courses, once booking is made from 17-21 Oct.

Please note if you specified a time in your waiting list form that is not available you will not be contacted until a place comes up at that time.
