Waste Presentation bye-laws 2005
These bye-laws have been adopted for the purpose of:
- the proper management of waste or
- the prevention or control of environmental pollution.
The main provision of the bye-laws is that waste, either household or commercial, is to be presented for collection:
- in a wheeled bin or
- a plastic pre paid bag. A prepaid bag may only be used with the prior written approval of Limerick City Council.
Waste is only to be presented to a permitted refuse collector.
These guidelines do not purport to be a legal interpretation of the provisions of the bye-laws but are only intended to guide and assist.
The bye-laws came into operation on the 1st May, 2005 and they apply to the area under the jurisdiction of Limerick City Council.
