About this Service

This online Planning Enquiry System allows you to access a copy of Limerick City Council's live Planning Register database, which is updated on a daily basis. The system allows you to search by Planning Number*, Applicant Name, Location of Development and/or Application Date.

The system also provides a mapping interface to let you view active Planning Application sites since 2000 against the OS background mapping and the historic planning register maps dating from 1980 to Dec. 1999**. The interface will allow you to interact with the map, using pan and zoom tools to view a wide range of mapping for your area of interest. The system also includes a "Where is" tool that allows you to search for and locate particular areas of interest on the map. For a quick reference guide to get you started please click here.

* Note: Insert the planning reference as a whole number like 01245 rather than 01/245 or 01-245.

**Note:  While every attempt has been made to ensure that the information contained herein is accurate, scanned historic imagery displayed in the system is based on paper maps that were worn through time and which may not, as a result, lie directly over the areas represented by the newer digital mapping. As such these images should be considered as indicative rather than definitive. Site outlines, where they exist, are intended as indicative and should not be taken as an accurate boundary delineation.
