Monday, September 14th, 2009

The annual Limerick Pride Parade is set to show a massive support and boost to Limerick business this week, September 14th-19th!  Thousands are set to flock to the colourful vibrant event from all over the country with some travelling from abroad to attend the celebrations.

Limerick City Council has given Limerick Pride its backing and support by decorating the city bridges with Rainbow Flags during Pride week, PRO Michelle Costello says “It’s wonderful to have the support for this festival from the City Council, outside of Dublin we are the only city to do this” she also stated “It makes a massive impact on the community to know how much support is out there”.
The festivities continue through the week with many events taking place all over Limerick. Chairman Paddy Doyle says “I am so proud to be involved in Limerick Pride” he also states “This year we have received so much positive feedback with the events and the support from the people of Limerick has been fantastic”.

The Pride Parade will start in Pery Square at 1pm on Saturday September 19th, The Parade is due to leave Pery Square at 2pm and follow the Pride route through the city.
Would you put in here the pride route so people know where they can watch from?

Following the Parade will be The Pride Block Party in Hartstonge Street, with a BBQ, Dog Show, Bouncing Castle, DJ, Dancing, face painting and many more activities. All the family are welcome.
