“We want to actively promote Limerick and the Mid West as a region with quality food, wine and many great dining options to choose from,” Padraic explained.
“We also hope to attract new visitors, especially foodies throughout the weekend to promote food business through difficult times. We’re confident that the week will be a success with a pricing structure which represents fantastic value, particularly at the weekend,” he pointed out.

John Crowe, Limerick Development Division Projects and Promotions Manager, Shannon Development, said; “Shannon Development is delighted to support this wonderful Regional event which will help promote Limerick and the Shannon Region as a culinary destination.  The event will also boost Limerick’s growing reputation as a great city break destination, and provide yet another mouth watering reason to visit the City. This initiative, which coincides with the Special Olympics and is happening in the lead up to the Pink Concert and the JP McManus Pro Am, is further testament to the development of Limerick as an important tourism destination.  Shannon Development is already rolling out a marketing campaign to support the event.
