New Technology Jobs for Limerick City Centre Welcomed

NEW TECHNOLOGY JOBS FOR LIMERICK CITY CENTRE WELCOMED”

 “Today’s announcement by Worldwide Tech Services (WWTS) that they are establishing their European Headquarters in Limerick City Centre at Riverpoint is a testimony and real vote of confidence in the future of Limerick City,” said Mayor Gerry McLoughlin following the announcement today that Worldwide Tech Services will be establishing initially 62 new technology sector jobs as part of their expansion programme into global markets.

The Chairman of Limerick City’s Economic Development Committee, Councillor Diarmuid Scully, also welcomed the news.

The Council’s Economic Development Unit has worked extremely hard to gain the confidence of WWTS to invest in Limerick City and I would like to very much congratulate all involved. It is particularly heartening for a Limerick City man like Lloyd Nolan returning and bringing new opportunity to his home city. I know the newly extended Business and Retail Incentive Scheme has been an influencing factor in attracting this investment”.

Director of Economic Development & Planning, Mr. Tom Enright, also welcomed and congratulated Vice President of WWTS Lloyd Nolan and Chief Operations Officer Donna Martin on their decision to choose Limerick as their destination to invest in Ireland. “We are placing a very strong emphasis on attracting new business to Limerick City and County and our Economic Development Unit in the Council is working very assiduously towards this objective. We are certainly now entering a very exciting period for Limerick”.

Worldwide Tech Services will establish their Irish Headquarters at Riverpoint in Limerick City Centre. Vice President of the company is Limerick man Lloyd Nolan from Caherdavin.The company will establish 62 high end technology jobs in the information technology & services industry through its Partner Network across the globe.
