Primary School Poster Competition 2008
Over recent years the harmful effects of Carbon Dioxide emissions have been a matter for global concern. Almost 40% of the transport sectors CO2 emissions come from the use of private cars. These emissions are the chief atmospheric contributor to the greenhouse effect which ultimately gives rise to global warming, climate change and extreme weather events.
In association with Car Free Day 2008, Limerick City Council invited students in Limerick City to design a poster that captures the damaging effect of Carbon Dioxide emissions on our environment and at the same time demonstrates how we can reduce these emissions. Over 600 entries were received from 8 schools.
