Norwegian Male Choir - 29th July 2003

A Norwegian Male Choir, Haltdalen Mannskor, performed in Limerick City Hall on Tuesday 29th July 2003. This lunchtime performance was free to the people of Limerick.

The choir is made up of 37 male singers who all hail from Haltdalen in Norway. Their repertoire ranges from sacred hymns to the best of national and international light music, from serious classical music to songs and ballads, from Norwegian folk music to contemporary rock-a-pella.

The choir was formed in 1985 when a group of passionate song lovers decided to establish an organised structure within which they could pursue their shared joy of singing. They have toured extensively since 1994 but this is their first visit to Ireland.

Below are some of the photos from their performance.
